Relinquish
Relinquish is a verb that means to give up, let go of, or surrender something. When you relinquish something, you willingly release your hold or control over it. In a more abstract sense, you can also relinquish control or power. For instance, a leader might relinquish their authority to someone else, allowing them to take charge. This could happen in a workplace or a team setting. Sometimes, people have to relinquish their dreams or aspirations due to circumstances or other priorities. Relinquish can also be used in legal contexts. For instance, if you inherit a property but decide to relinquish your claim to it, you’re giving up your rights to that property.
