Definition
Elude means to escape or avoid something or someone skillfully. It’s like when you manage to slip away from a difficult situation or evade capture. In a broader sense, elude can also be used to describe situations where something is difficult to understand or grasp. For example, a complex math problem might elude you because you can’t quite figure out the solution.
